Institutional Protocol

Privacy Sovereignty.

At Board.Africa, we understand that professional privacy is the foundation of effective governance. Our protocols are designed to ensure complete data sovereignty for our members.

1. Data Collection Architecture

We collect and process minimal data required for governance excellence. This includes:

  • Professional Identity: Verified names, corporate affiliations, and board experience.
  • Governance Assets: Securely encrypted board documents, minutes, and resolutions.
  • Interaction Logs: Technical metadata required for security auditing and access control.

2. Security & Encryption Standards

Every piece of data within the Board.Africa ecosystem is treated with a "Zero-Trust" philosophy:

  • At Rest: AES-256 military-grade encryption for all storage volumes.
  • In Transit: TLS 1.3 encrypted handshakes for all network traffic.
  • Access Control: Granular Row-Level Security (RLS) enforced at the database kernel.

3. Continental Sovereignty

We adhere to the highest regional data protection standards across the continent, including the Kenya Data Protection Act (2019) and international GDPR principles where applicable. Data is stored across geo-redundant clusters to ensure availability and legal compliance.

4. Your Clearance Rights

Members maintain full control over their professional footprint:

  • Access to all stored professional data upon request.
  • The right to rectify or update board credentials.
  • Complete "Erasure Clearance" (the right to be forgotten) subject to regulatory audit requirements.
